The staff are friendly and the renovated rooms are good however there is still a lot of work going on and the ratings will improve when it is complete. Designated 'Sea view' rooms may only be partial because there is another building in front of of the hotel so ask for something high and to the left of the building... More

We loved this hotel. There is a some traffic noise but I do not mind this, air conditioning was quiet, balcony lovely and reception staff very helpful. Bus to town is just nearby and car hire around the corner. Beach with loungers which are free as attached to tavernas, therefore offering beach service of drinks, is a short walk and... More

The rooms are just gross, to put it plainly. The rugs are old, dirty and stained. The bathroom "shower curtain" could have been replaced---it was a simple, white liner, not even a shower cutrain, and it was stained yellow and brown. The rooms were cleaned, the bathroom was cleaned, however, it never looked cleaned because it was so outdated and... More

We had no idea which hotel to select because booking.com only gave us a few options on the iPhone and we were already in Kalamata. We chose this one for no specific reason and we were rewarded. We were given a choice of staying at one of the recently renovated rooms for 98 euros a night, or one of the... More

Comfortable and spacious room, excellent bathroom, sea view from the spacious balcony. Friendly staff. Location was perfect for walks at nights. All the taverns and bar-cafes were a few minutes walk in front of the hotel. It was a perfect destination. We stayed there for 3 nights. The breakfast was very rich with almost everything on your demand. Internet access... More

We stopped over in Kalamata for one day during a tour of southern Greece. Although we booked well ahead of our trip, many hotels were full, or would not take a one-night reservation during the peak holiday season in August. The Pharae was available, and to be honest, we had only mid-level expectations which were very pleasantly exceeded. The staff... More

We stayed 5 nights and we were very happy to see that many things were much better than a few years ago. The breakfast is now excellent. The stuff were very curteous and ready to help. The rooms are spacious and well furnished with a marvellous view over the sea. The only shortcoming is the noise of the coastal avenue... More
