Stayed for a week at Hotel Riekonlinna Apartments (separate building behind the main hotel building) in a 43,5 square meter small apartment. Positives: *very nice, clean and spacious room *comfortable bed (it is very soft, however) *close to all ski routes *quiet and peaceful room Negatives: *the breakfast is one of the worst I have ever been to, both in... Stayed here for 5 nights in their room with private sauna. Enjoyed myself alot. Hotel is at one end of the town, near the toboggan slide. At night, we could just walk out 5-10mins to see northern lights! Lapland safari has an office just at level 1, and it was very convenient to meet and gear up for our activities... More

Like a recent reviewer, we also stayed here as part of a driving experience with Porsche. Breakfast was OK despite the coffee machine wanting a new air filter and some more milk....I have no idea why these "error messages" should be shown to the guests. Removal of used plates/cups etc was slow ...same with "self service" bacon or eggs that... More

I've been there twice - once before I left to the north sea, and once again on my way back. In both times the hotel was great - the rooms are big and clean, the food is really great (the salads were surprisingly fantastic!) and the place itself is warm, in contrary to the freezing outside. Needless to say, the... More

We were in Saariselka for one week, and had a terrific experience. The hotel was in a great location for us. It was only a few minutes walk to the XC ski trails, the downhill ski hill, the tobogganing hill, restaurants, and the local grocery store. I saw in some previous reviews that the breakfast buffet was "not a gourmet... More

Stayed here whilst driving with Porsche on the fabulous Ice Force Training, Everything was great, very nice hotel with plenty of variety in the food and drink. The staff were very helpful at all times and the room was well equipped with all essentials and a lovely TV and mini bar. The only thing that could really improve that I... More

The hotel is old, and if you get a triple sharing room, means your essentially sleeping on a folded out couch. I had a room on the first level (159), and then one on the second level (200). Room on the first level was smaller, and the bed thin and tired. Shower stall was tiny, and water would leak out... More

This made a perfectly serviceable base in Saariselka. The rooms were clean and of a good size. All the rooms seemed to have balconies, there was a viewing room to see the Northen lights and the excursion centre is inside the hotel which is very convenient. On the downside the hotel feels slightly shabby, in need of a lick of... More

I stayed at this hotel on two separate occasions. First I had just the standard room and then I spent 2 days (incl. the night between) in the wilderness. Then I came back and had a room with en suite sauna. I knew I would be freezing after having spent the whole day in -25'C temperatures so booking room with... More

The room and hotel was clean, nicely kept, with great breakfast. The bed mattress, however, was not that comfortable. The best part of the room was that we had our own Sauna, especially after spending the day in the freezing weather outside! The hotel is quite long, and our room was towards the end of the hotel, so we had... More
