Two nights in this magnificent setting left us hungry for more. The lodges are strung out like pearls on a necklace along a raised path across the grassland bordering a stony hill, and within they are splendidly fitted in safari-style but comfortable furnishings. The main dining and lounge area is less inviting and looks like a refurb. is overdue; but... More

Staying here is a must if you want to see dawn and dusk in the park as the Gates dont open to the other resorts outside daylight hours. The setting and rooms are fantastic, but let down a little by the service and the suprising lack of knowledge about the park itself. We were left to work everything out for... More

We stayed 2 nights at this lodge. It is wonderfully located in the Sossusvlei area, with an incredible view on the Sesriem Canyon and the dune scenery. The view is not distracted by any signs of civilization, as e.g. the cars are parked behind rocks. Coming directly from Windhoek, the nature and the loneliness have been a great relaxing start... The location within the park allows you to get to the dunes before, and stay after, everyone else. The rooms are very spacious and strung along an elevated duckboard path from the main buildings providing lounge and dining room. However the place seems run down - no deck chairs on the balcony and only 5 deck chairs (no cushions) to... More

The upside for this Lodge is the location within the park but TBH the 40 minute drive to the dunes from Hoodia Lodge was worth the extra comfort and food quality offered at Hoodia and on reflection I would have stayed longer at Hoodia and forgone the Sossus Dune Lodge! Personal choice. Sossus bungalows are large and airy. Too hot... More

Stayed in Sossus Dune Lodge on 6,7 April for 2 nights. Beautiful Lodge inside the park, friendly staff, good food as well. The room and bathroom are comfortable. We did the Sunset Dune 45 visit on our own the first day. It was very windy, so not easy to get to the top. We joined the Lodge organized Sunrise Tuor... More

Being situated inside the Namib-Naukluft is what makes this lodge really special. Because you are inside the park, you can leave before sunrise and watch the sunrise from the dunes (which are about a 45 minute drive on tarred road from the lodge itself). For this reason, I think this lodge is unmissable, truly one of a kind and an... More

Our reception was excellent and very friendly. We just loved the views from the room and dining room. We thought the room and bathroom were just fine. The day we arrived it rained (!) so temperatures were very agreeable. The next day, it was dry and temps rose. It is true the rooms are not air-conditioned but we had no... More

Great individual lodge accommodation linked by a wooden walkway to the main buildings and looking out over the plains and hills which also have wildlife roaming freely. The lodges are quite simply furnished but very very good and have the bonus of a verandah view to die for. The main building/restaurant is quite sparse. There is a small pool and... More

We unfortunately only stayed for one night at this beautiful lodge. The location is great inside the park with a private road to the Sossusvlei, which makes you rather independent from opening times of the gate. We were able to leave later in the afternoon to Sossuvlei and were actually the only ones there and could return late. You can also... More
