We just spent two nights at this hotel and were really impressed. The rooms are tastefully decorated in a modern style (no chintz to be seen!) with original artworks throughout. Yes it is above a chinese retaurant (whose food was excellent) and the room we had was on the small side, but our room was nice, with a massive shower... more

When we first pulled up we were surprised to see that the hotel was above a Chinease/Thai restaurant, however, it was simply wonderful. The lady running this place couldn't have been nicer and was a pleasure to deal with. I had problems with the wi-fi which wouldn't work, and the modernised room was very small with an updated tiny shower room, but apart from that, there was an lcd tv, nice bedding (hard pillows though), and a superb breakfast. Don’t be put off that this hotel is within a Chinese Restaurant, it could hardly be better. The rooms are all very clean with a modern finish. The breakfast was one of the most delicious ive had the staff are incredible sweet, even offering to do your ironing for you. There is a very honest personal touch to the place... more

This place is a hidden gem, and like other reviews here describe, should NOT be discounted because it is above a Chinese restaurant. The rooms are very nicely decorated to a high quality with a quaint kind of sophistication.
