This beautiful beach property offers camping among the palm trees for around $18 usd a night (as well as individual cabañas/casitas for around $55 usd a night). While the place is very nice we weren't made very welcome (we are a Mexican family so communication wasn't an issue). We wanted to stay 3 nights but were told we probably wouldn't... More

Very nice place to stay in rustic punta allen. Clean, comfortable, spacious, and good value. The grounds were also very picturesque with lots of hammocks and palm trees. The owner an ex- pro sport fisherman is very helpful and friendly however doesn't speak much English. The food that we tried here was also delicious the fish was exceptional one of... More

Bungalos Costa del Sol is a lesser known, hidden gem, just a 5-minute walk outside Punta Allen proper. The setting is lovely - right on the beach, with lots of old-growth palm trees to provide shade and areas where it's easy to swim. Accommodations are simple but comfortable, and the restaurant's somewhat limited menu offers well-prepared, delicious, mostly seafood based... More

We spent three glorious weeks at Costa del Sol. It was our third trip to Punta Allen and our second stay with the Ancona falmily. Again there are no words to describe the welcome atmosphere, food from the gods (the special Costa del Sol Fillet is our favorite!) and the beautiful grounds we are so lucky to call our "Home... Ok. I didn't actually sleep here. But I sure wish we had! We didn't love where we were staying so we spent a day hanging here. The people were SO nice. We had the best meal we had in Mexico. The beach was wonderful, the shade of the palms amazing. My kids cried when we left to go back to... More

No words can describe the welcome atmosphere and genuine kindness of our hosts. The grounds are meticulously maintained and the beach and view from our cabana was truly out of this world. We will return to Costa del Sol as often as possible for the rest of our lives. For us, it is the ultimate retreat filled with wonderful fresh... More

Once you take the slightly rough road down to Punta Allen, and just before you reach to town, you will find a few gems. The very best value that we found was at Bungalos Costa del Sol (www,bungaloscasadelsol.com). The beautiful white sandy beach was virtually all ours and is protected by an atoll. The casita (there are 4) was remote... More

I review this hotel only because I believe in supporting local businesses- otherwise I would keep this gem to myself. The land of Costa del Sol has been in the same family for generations, and Don Manuel, his wife and family do an incredible job at making guests welcome. On a huge perfectly maintained beach the reserve has allowed for... More

Just before you just enter Punta Allen, on the left there is a small resort Called Costa Del Sol, will 4 or so small Bunglo's right on the most beautifully landscaped property right on the beach, I highly recommend staying at this resort if you plan on going down that way. I have stayed at most of the small accommodations... More
