We have just got back from an excellent week stay at Home Farm in Welcombe, Devon. Alison and Michael who run the Farmhouse are fantastic hosts. We had 5 days of organised walks guided by Michael. Exploring the coastline and countyside of beautiful North Devon/Cornwal (Welcombe is only just in Devon). We are not fantastically fit and Michael fits the walks to suit your ability. The food was outstanding - A hearty breakfast - packed lunch to take on the walk - Tea and homemade cake on return from your walk and then in the evening a top class three course meal using local products and served in the oak beamed dining room. My only complaint is that I managed to put 2lbs on. We were in a superior room it was tastefully decorated with a nice comfy bed overlooking the stunning garden.
