We have been lucky to ne upgraded in the rooms with a view on the mountains (we booked the valley view on Agoda). If you can afford, don't hesitate for the mountains view. We used Celyn Resort as a base before and after climbing Mt Kinabalu. Quiet, nice and very clean with beautiful views. Note that the resort is quite far from Ranau and Mt Kinabalu. It will cost you expensive taxis to move around. More
