Stayed here for one night with my husband whilst walking the Speyside Way. Spotlessly clean and very friendly. Val and Mark pull out all the stops to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. We didn't have an evening meal as they have only just started doing them but judging by the breakfasts I would imagine they are excellent. Lovely view... More

Stayed with Mark and Val for a couple of days in mid April and had a fantastic time. The house and the rooms are spotlessly clean and very nicely decorated. You are made very welcome and the breakfast is a delight, especially the home-made bread. Tomintoul is a place where you can get away from the hustle and bustle of... More

My wife and I spent a night here last week and were made most welcome by the hosts (and with cake) The bedroom was spacious enough to accommodate a settee and an en suite bathroom with views that went on for miles! Home made bread at breakfast was a pleasant surprise. I would have preferred to see the jams served... More

Thank you for the lovely review; we take your point about the jams - when we took over the business we did discuss this but in the interest of hygiene decided to use the portions; however upon your comments we will look to put out portions and also put some jars on the service counter with small dishes for guests... Absolutely one of the best B&B’s that I have stayed in Scotland. The room's décor was modern as well as the bathroom and clean and comfortable. The owners were very friendly and helpful...that Scottish hospitality that you hear about. Once I arrived, Sue called the Clockhouse Restaurant and arranged dinner reservations for me. When I returned from dinner, I was... More

Stayed at Glentorets with 3 friends while cycling in the area. Having stayed at B&B's all over the UK this was one of the best house type accommodation we have ever encountered. The rooms are immaculate and the breakfast is fantastic with fresh fruit and local produce on offer. Ian and Sue even sorted out a great packed lunch for... More

Such a large segment of the B&B industry has branched into a larger, inn-style model that it is wonderful to find this classic configuration in which a family has set aside comfortable space within their home to accommodate travellers. Tomintoul is a bit of an outpost requiring more "deliberate" living than those of us who are city dwellers are used... More
