Staff were very friendly and spoke English. The rooms were very clean and seemed to be recently renovated. The drive up the mountain to the hotel was hair-raising and not recommended for a large car or the faint-hearted - you can reach the hotel by cable car. This hotel is a cute typical Italian place. It is very clean and has stunning views. It is located in an itallian village (Brunate) at the top of the hill in Como. However you can take the tram down to the center and it takes only 7 minutes. more

catching teh Furniculare from Lake Como is easy and Vista Lago is a 2 min walk from the top of the Furniculare . Great views and Christine the host was fabulous. the only downside was the basic breakfast. more
