I personally think a 4- or 5-star rating for this hotel is misleading. It is a simple, unpretentious place. May of the facilities aim higher than they achieve. Amazing setting in the Quebrada de Humahuaca - you are surrounded by spectacular multicoloured rock formations. You can just see the Seven-Coloured Hill in front of which Purmaraca sits. Conveniently located for visiting Tilcara and the Salinas Grandes. Room rates were higher than other comparable places but we managed to negotiate a good discount.
