We stayed here for four nights for a long weekend to explore the Somerset Levels, and thoroughly enjoyed it. It is a lovely location, looking on to the village green at the front and with a courtyard and terraced lawns at the back. We were asked to ring and let them know if we wanted a dinner reservation the day... more

We stayed here for a weekend, Saturday/Sunday break cycling in Somerset. The Devonshire Arms is a beautiful old stone building in a picturesque village but has had any charm interior-designed out of it. Our room was clean but smelt of some overpowering scent. When we arrived, the girl at reception told us that, although we were on a dinner, bed... more

A group of 11 of us stayed here for a 3 night break cycling in Somerset. The service was relaxed and friendly, rooms spacious and comfortable (only downside is the TV which was far from intuitive to use), food was superb. Great value for money and we would definitely go back, it ticked all the boxes! more

Set at the end of the quintessential English county square this pub sits imposingly over its surrounds. Looking out over a massive oak tree in the middle of the green a 13th Century church is glimpsed through the front windows. Everything about this place screams out England, and it does not let you down. The hosts are welcoming and obliging,... more

I had eaten in the superb resaurant several times and was delighted to stay a night there and enjoy their equally good breakfast which included superb home made bread. The rooms are very tastefully decorated and comfortable. Mine was one of the few without a shower or bath but the shower at the end of the coridoor was immaculately clean.... more

This was our 4th attempt to find a nice country place to stay not too far from Yeovil which we visit on business 3 or 4 times a year. Our first impressions were good - nice countryside and quiet village with green and impressive church spire. The outside of the hotel/inn was also in keeping and our hopes were lifted.... more

After a long drive, the sight of the Devonshire Arms, on the fringe of the village green in the idyllic village of Long Sutton, was more than a sight for sore eyes. Our large room overlooked the village green and was spotless. The unusual but modern decor was very much to our taste. We went down for dinner which was... more

Amazing... what a little find. There are only 7 or 8 rooms and the hotel is a perfect country retreat. Rooms were simple but stylish in decor...a lovely boutique hotel to spend a weekend discovering Somerset. As an added bonus it is located in a lovely quiet village and the rooms over the look a green. more

This is a very nice place to stay. A pub with restaurant and rooms in a peaceful typical English village. It is family friendly. Staff are friendly, the food is good. Our room was very clean clean with large bathroom, and tea/coffee tray and TV. We had dinner and breakfast, both were good. The rooms are very tastefully decorated. No... more
