We stayed in Lisloughrey (as it was known then, wish they didn't change the name!) on a Sunday night, having taken a very rare Monday off work after a Christening in Achill. We were going to head to Westport but en route a friend recommended Lisloughrey, I rang and was shocked to get the room for €85 for the night... More

We stayed here when we attended a family wedding, the rooms were so large with great bathrooms, nice comfy beds and lovely views. The staff were friendly and nothing you asked was too much trouble for them. A really gem, if you are in the area it is worth a stay. There is a hot tub however we didn't manage... More

The Lodge at Ashford was formerly known as Lisloughrey Lodge and is or was a lodge on the Ashford Castle Estate. The world famous Ashford Castle that is. The Lodge itself is a real gem. Front of house we were greeted by charming and helpful staff who couldnt have made us feel more at home. Our room was elegantly laid... More

We attended a wedding at The Lodge at Ashford, or is it Lisloughrey House, or is it Ashford Lodge? Even the signage and room stationery seems confused as to the name! I think a clue may lie in the fact that it is owned by NAMA and has changed hands a few times recently. Apart from this identity crisis we... More

This was the nicest hotel break we have been on. The room was fantastic. The staff excellent. We had a delay in our dinner booking but Irene from Reception came and looked after us with a comlimentary drink while we waited. We waited with another couple and had a really good chat with them and of coursew another drink after... More

I've been wanting to stay here for a while, having heard of the place and visiting from the outside. We stayed this weekend for my birthday and obviously the hotel wasn't too busy as we were lucky enough to be upgraded to a beautiful spacious suite. I cant understand previous 'bad' reviews complaining about everything, the staff were amazing, in... More

We last visited the lodge in March this year and were very disappointed with it, mostly by the dirt of the entire place. On a return trip to Ashford Castle we decided to try it again as it was now rebranded as The Lodge at Ashford and thought some of the excellence of the castle must have made its way... More

I was married on the 1st of October and my brand new husband and I decided to spend 3 nights in Lisloughrey as a sort of mini-honeymoon before heading to India for a 'proper' honeymoon in December. Without going into every detail, we had the best experience we've ever had in an Irish hotel, ever. The staff were incredibly helpful,... More
