We spent three nights with Zora and Franz in Palmento la Rosa and we enjoyed every minute of it. The rooms, the garden, breakfast, dinner, and the warm hospitality of the hosts made it very special for us and our four children. More

We chose Palmento la Rosa as a base to see Etna before heading down to the south coast for a week. And what a great choice it was. The setting is perfect in beautifully restored stone buildings. Though we knew the hosts Franz and Zora would prepare dinner we had no idea what a treat we were in for. Our... More

More

We very much enjoyed our visit to Palmento la Rosa. The building used to be a winery, but has been converted into a spacious and unusual B&B, with gorgeous, large bedrooms and delightful communal areas. The garden is smaller than it seems, but quite lovely. Breakfast outside is very pleasant. Franz and Zora make you feel like friends of the... More

Although the rooms were booked when we arrived we could join dinner with the other guests and were welcomed with an excellent dinner with a remix of local food of the best quality you could ever imagine. And Zora and Franz are the nicest and most interesting hosts a place could offer. Thank you! More

Franz and Zora are the hosts of the small vinyard with just 4 guest rooms north of Catania. They manage to combine Italian charme, flexibiity, Swiss precision and a personal atmosphere. Overall it feels like staying with friends... if you prefer. Dinner at Palmento la Rosa is a must. Start with a light white wine grown on vulcanic earth served... More

This Hotel is different from any other hotel we have been. - It has only four rooms and it is situated in a very quiet area near Catania. There is an incredible charming big room (hard to describe - check Homepage for pictures) open to all the guests. It contains a cozy open fire place, an Internetpoint, a Billiardtable, and... More

It was only a 6-day-holiday, but one of the best we ever had. Zora and Franz gave us a feeling of family welcome. Franz is more than a good cook. Sorry about the bad english, some more in german: Es waren wunderbare entspannte Ferientage. Das Essen war großartig und unsere Rezeptsammlung (auch der Taillenumfang) hat sich vergrößert. Uns hat es... More
