We came here for 2 days and felt like we relaxed for 2 weeks. The hotel aims to take you away from everyday life and distressing your mind. Located very near to the village of Ouranoupolis, the hotel offers a unique atmoshpere with classical music, excellent scenery and tranquile environment. The sea in front of the hotel is very clean... More

We found Skites hotel on i-escape and were also impressed by the owner's website which promised an individual and quirky place to escape to for a week. The hotel lived up to our expectations in terms of location, service and ambience which can only be described as idyllic. Whilst the guest rooms are relatively basic, they are pristinely clean, spacious... More

And it will obviously not be for every crowd.... some real whiney reviews. So yes, there is an unmade road to reach the hotel, but then that's the beauty of it, complete countryside, away from the tourist crowds. There's nothing beyond the hotel other than the border with the church state of Mt Athos. So very peaceful. Yes, you'll need... More

I have to say that I think Skites is simply one of those hotels that you either love or hate. I spent a week here in June and I thought it was simply wonderful. No, it isn't boutique. No, its isn't 5 star. No, the breakfast isn't fantastic and yes in parts it could do with a facelift. However, what... More

On arrival, we were surprised at the low standard of the hotel. The room was small and basic, in fact typically Greek but at double the going rate! The hotel is reached from the town by an unmade road, about 1km in length, and is not suitable for an evening walk, a car is recommended. Breakfast was also very poor,... More

I have just returned from a short break at this hotel. It is situated on a beautiful part of the Greek coast. It has a small private beach. The rooms cost 160 Euros ($220). They were fairly basic, with aircon. The site itself is reasonable, but certainly nothing special. The big let down for us was the service. Poor and... More

I found this small hotel via one of the travel books.. It was absolutely like finding a piece of heaven. It was sufficiently secluded to be away from the tourists and crowds, yet easily accessible to the town. Rooms overlooked the ocean.. The rooms looked like they were designed by greek romantics. It had the peace one seeks and yet... More
