This was my only stay in a B&B on a 7 night business trip all over Netherlands but this place stood out when I was looking for somewhere on the way back to the tunnel at Calais.

We stayed there for a single night in November and wished we had had the time to stay longer. The place is beautiful, with welcoming rooms, a nice open living/dining room for breakfast and a perfectly manicured garden. The hosts are charming and can converse in a surprising number of languages (generally a strong point for Belgium!). Privacy is good...

I am usually a hotel guy. The good ones are usually safe bets with consistent standards and convenient locations. But $300 euro a night just was too steep for our stay in Brussels so I began to check out bed and breakfasts around Brussels. I found De Peperbus (Flemish for the pepper shaker) online and since the price was reasonable...

A beautiful guesthouse in the Flanders area, close to the market town of Lokeren. With Ghent, Antwerp and Bruges not to far away.
Pascale and her husband are perfect hosts. They will go out of their way to make your stay perfect. It was out 25th wedding anniversary while we were there. Pascale put flowers and champagne in our room....
