Basicly making the effort to write a review as I want to warn people what to expect and how to prepare if coming to this island. The island itself is beautiful, however the resort and its facilities totally ruin the experience. Often we found ourselves discussing solutions/issues or just in complete bewilderment to a majority of the practises and operations... More

All activities staff are very good, but all equipment is in need of major upgrade, as are the dining areas, rooms, pools.Resort pricing is not equivalent to grading, would never pay full price to stay here. Location is excellent,it is embarrassing to Aussies that this is the standard we present to our international guests. All wildlife activities are well presented. More

Dear Gcvlr Thank you for taking the time to post your review. We are so glad you enjoyed the activities, staff, surroundings and nature based experiences. Your comments of some of the equipment in need of an upgrade has been taken on board. Some of the equipment like archery has seen quite a lot of use over the Christmas holiday... More

We went to the resort for a day trip on a beatifull sunny day. The island is a treasury, however, the tour was disappointing. It started with the totally unnecessary alway on TV on the ferry. On the positive side, the ship crew was very friendly. Once we arrived, we wanted to get changed for a snorkel swim. The facilities... More

Dear sunandmoon30 Thank you for taking the time to post your review. We are so glad you enjoyed the Island and surrounds. Sorry you did not enjoy the boat movie on the way over. This has been done to let guests know what they can do whilst they are at the resort. It also has conservation messages from our Tangalooma... More

Having visited this resort two years ago and really enjoying my stay I was slightly concerned by the negative feedback Tangalooma has recieved on this site. However after spending 4 days here in early January I feel alot of the criticism is unjustified. We spent our stay in one of the beach front villas which was a short distance away... More

Dear gingermegs52 Thank you for taking the time to post your review. Sorry the weather was not more favourable during your stay. With regards to towel change, there are a few different packages on offer, serviced and unserviced - this is why your towels may not have been changed. With regards to the blind, it's a shame we could not... More

I booked a two night, three day excursion to this resort as recommended in the "Bridge the World" holiday brochure, which makes it sound trully special and appealing. Indeed it is a beautifull place however my partner and I did not totally enjoy the experience. Firstly the number of visitors on a daily basis is enormous. Three quite large ferries... More

Dear BoBBournemouth Thank you for taking the time to post your review. All of our guests, both day guests and overnight guests, are met at the shore end of the jetty when the launches arrive. We offer this service for every launch arrival due to the resort being spread out over one kilometre along the beach and we feel it... More

I have been to Tangalooma many times over the years, since I was a child. I have really fond memories of the kids club and activities. The location is beautiful. I stayed again for the first time in many years last year during the floods. I was really disappointed but did not post a negative review at that time because... More

We spent three nights on Tangalooma over New year. Having booked we then saw the reviews on here. Wouldn't have booked if had read them first. That said we were dubious but decided to go with open minds. Transfers were fine. We'd booked an ocean view superior room in kookaburra lodge, beautiful view, clean room if bit tired but no... More
