there is absolutely nothing good that i can say about tangalooma. it felt like i was at a extremely sub-par sleepaway summer camp. you had to do your own dishes at breakfast lunch and dinner?? what is with that. also, room service refused to clean rooms if they were messy, seriously, lets be realistic, isnt that what room service is... more

We were staying two nights as part of a tour. As others have noted, the check-in (and check-out) is very slow because large numbers arrive and leave at the same time, on the ferry. The baggage takes even longer to find your room, unless you take it yourself. The rooms were modern, clean and spacious, with a comfortable bed. No... more

This is no thanks to the Tangalooma resort or staff. We are just back from a week there in a villa. The villa was good and well equipped and we were happy with it, however it was privately owned and we did not book it through the resort although it is available for booking through the resort. Breathtakingly stunning views... more

How can anyone complain? This, despite my concerns having read previous reviews, was probably our best experience in our 6 week trip around the world. Room (small studio) was updated and very comfortable with lovely views of the ocean/swimming pool. (see photos). We loved the dolphin feeding, and took the whale watching cruise (recommended on Tripadvisor) which was great value... more

My sister and I travelled to the resort for a 3 night long weekend from NZ. Having read previous reviews, didn't expect much, but perhaps because of that, loved it. Heaps of free things to do, heaps of other things that weren't overpriced and even the food was reasonable valuable. Our cheap room in the Kookaburra Lodge had a lovely... more

Tangalooma was beautiful - could not ask for better scenery. It was lovely waking up to see the ocean outside the window. We stayed in a Villa which could have slept 8 people and had a kitchenette. It was a bit run down, but we weren't too worried about that. We had a couple of days on our own before... more

Stayed here from Friday to Monday at Deep Blue apartments which were new and well equiped. The rest of the resort looks dated and needs updating. Check-in needs to be improved as there are long queues of up to 45 mins when the boat arrives with new clients. If you arrive at 9 am you will have to wait until... more

The negative reviews on here must be written by people expecting nothing less than 100% luxury. Tangalooma is a great place to visit. For those who cannot afford $500 a night places, this resort gives you that feel without the cost. I was able to get a run of the house room which was very clean and VERY worth the... more

After reading so many negative reviews, I wasn't expecting much, however my daughter (10 yrs) and I were pleasantly surprised by our hotel room during an overnight stay. We spend one night in Kookaburra 32 - we had water views, the room was very clean and adequately appointed (including reverse cycle air conditioning), and the beds were very comfortable. Reception... more

If you have kids you have to make this your no 1 choice for a beach holiday. The place is safe, no surf, dolphins and a great kids club with games, trampoline and friendly staff while you can relax. more
