Lovely, close to attractions, wifi, great food, helpful staff. Mykonos is a walking town, and being close to all the shops, waterfront, windmills and restaurants is a huge plus. So it's on a busy street; so what; just be careful. Would I stay here again? Absolutely! more

Despotiko Hotel was our base in Mykonos, after three days in Santorini. The pros: a short walk from all the restaurants and bars in Mykonos town, nice pool area, decent sized rooms, very clean and charming hotel, friendly and helpful front desk staff. The cons: next to a very busy street with constant drone of motor scooters, beds were hard... more

We stayed at the Depotiko for 3 nights in august 2009. What a wonderful surprise! So clean and very spacious. Our room with 2 double beds was #34 - we had a wonderful partly secluded patio outside our door, perfect for sitting and haveing a beverage or snack or reading a book. The pool was just a few short steps... more

The outside of the hotel does not reflect the inner sanctum. It has 42 rooms split over three floors - we stayed in room 32 at the back of the hotel, overlooking the pool area and with views of the sunset! The staff are very friendly and great for information - there was a nice mix of clients. The hotel... more

We stayed here with a group, and found this to be a really lovely hotel. The common areas were unique, the breakfast room (complete with china teapots) was the nicest we have EVER seen in Greece, and the pool was a hidden surprise. In fact, I can honestly say that the Despotiko was as a whole, a pleasant surprise. We... more

This family-run, former bishop's residence turned hotel, was very charming. It's located just a couple minutes walk away from the heart of Mykonos Town, close to the beaches bus stop. The family who runs it couldn't be friendlier and more hospitable, they are also very knowledgeable about the area and local sights. Our room was on the ground level facing... more

Not high frills but a beautiful little hotel. Rooms are clean and comfortable. They offered to move me to an ocean view for no extra charge. When our luggage was lost on the way, they handled getting it from the airport for us and delivered it to our room for free. Internet was free, unlike the other two hotels we... more

we stayed at the hotel despotiko as part of a gate 1 tour in May 2008, and it was such a charming and lovely little hotel. Very clean grounds and rooms, with our own personal plunge pool. The staff were accommodating and fixed me up when I fell and cut my knee and were very patient when giving us directions... more

What a glorious hotel. The place is charming and within a 3-minute walk from the heart of Mykonos town. The rooms are clean and uncomplicated. Everything works. The hotel garden and the pool are beautiful and the staff makes certain everything is pristine. It's like they are re-setting a theatrical set every day. The breakfast is a bit Euro-buffet boring... more
