Arrived sceptical of the site quality due to flooding, but site was dry and suitable for tents and caravans. Slight mix up with pitches and we all ended up squeezing in as they had double booked so we were pressed up in a corner on a slope, bit muddy when raining but we coped. Toilet and shower facilities very clean... More

We found this campsite lasy year and were so impressed we are returning over Easter weekend. The river is a magnet for the kids, George the site owners dog is an added bonus.... free entertainment for the kids. Showers lovely never had to queue, toilets clean. pub is a short walk and very nice for eating out. There is a... More

We made the decision to buy a tent! This was our first camping trip! We took our 3 boys (9, 10 & 14) and the dog. Having booked into to a nearby site several weeks before our trip, the night before our trip, we decided to check out the reviews of the site we had booked, probably the best thing... More

I really don't do tents!! I want a bed and a shower. Ok so I gave it a go, but for one night only. We arrived at the campsite and met up with friends at about 4pm it was raining. We pitched the tent next to the river that flows along the side of the campsite. We then set off... More

Very welcoming campsite at a great price. Lovely spot right next to the river. Lovely pub about 30 seconds walk away serving delicious food and they also offer breakfast. Owner and his dog George were a nice surprise - infact we couldn't get rid of George after we made the mistake of throwing his ball once for him!

Site pleasant, riverside location, tranquil, although facilties basic, toilet block very basic, no hair drying facility and in need of updating; showers expensive at £1 a go. Miles away from any shops facillties etc. nearest at Gosforth 5 miles away. Good pub next door, excellent food ( regulary local celebrity Eric Robson!!!!) beware of the goat.

Campsite small but adequate, person meeting us could have been more friendly, felt like we were viewed as pound signs. Wanted cash or cheque - no cards.....Facilities basic but adequate, not impressed at having to pay an extra pound for a shower on top of the booking fees. Saving grace was the fabulous pub next door, the Bridge Inn. Food... More

This is a lovely quiet campsite with basic but clean facilities. The campsite has now been taken over by new owners who are very friendly and updating the facilities.
