The first three times I travelled to Kabul I stayed first at a UN Guest House, and then at another privately-owned guest house, thinking those would feel the most secure. But when I finally stayed at the Serena, I felt the most secure of al the times I visited Kabul. And of course Serena hotels are simply beautiful Every detail... More

The Serena Kabul is certainly a very nice international standard hotel and is called the nicest hotel in town by expats who live in Kabul. The security features seem to be about as good as you can expect which is certainly an important criteria. My room was nice and the housekeeping did a good job. Inner courtyard, fitness center and... Found myself wondering what to do on Friday in Kabul. Based on a colleague's recommendation, went off to the Serena Hotel in Kabul for Friday brunch. Friday brunch was crowded. People were waiting for tables but since I was alone, got myself one quite easily. Staff were kind of attentive, clearing away dirty plates. Food was quite ordinary though -... More

Spacious rooms, wonderful service, a great gym and spa area, and outdoor pool. The business center is open 24 hours and well equipped...Ask for a room that is not street-facing, for security and noise reasons. More

Once again, the Serena and its amazing staff batted 1000. Each time I stay, it is for several weeks at a time, and each time the friendly and accommodating staff remember me and take care of my every need. Whether it is the General Manager, Mr. , the amazing waiters, the front desk staff, or the housekeepers, you will always... More

Stayed at Kabul Serena on this trip, 4 days; it was good to recognize some of the staff from my last trip, the doorman is really friendly, seemed genuinely happy to see me (its my fourth time at this hotel). The rooms are very spacious, fully equiped as you would expect from five star, fruit and nuts, water, newspaper are... More

It is one of the best hotels in Kabul. I stay here whenever I visit Kabul. It offers comfort, security and safety. The rooms are large enough and well maintained. The bathroom is clean and decent. The hotel has a lovely courtyard. The breakfast and dinner buffet are good. But it would be nice if there is more variety. This... More

I worked with the United Nations (UNODC) in Kabul 2007-2010 and lived at the Serena for two years. The physical infrastructure, service culture and care for you as a guest, cleanliness and overall experience rivals the best hotels in many cities, and in my home town of San Francisco would be a four and a half of 5 at least.... The Serena Hotel was an unexpected pleasure in an otherwise stressful stay in Kabul. the courtyards and public areas are beyond compare - I felt so comfortable working and meeting with business colleagues in the different sitting rooms, coffee shops and bakeries within the hotel. The courtyard itself is serene and stunningly beautiful. The rooms themselves are a reasonable size... More

I stayed at the hotel again for a recent business trip and was pleased with the quality of the accommodation and facilities. I was very pleased with the improvement in the catering in Cafe Zarnegar, which now has a grill and better selection of lunch and evening meals. The quality of the restaurant food had also improved since my last... More
