My room didn't have air-conditioning which in the middle of the Afghan summer is not the most enjoyable experience. It did have a fan though which softened the blow somewhat. Fact is its Kabul so if you are looking for a five star experience then check into the Serena. Otherwise the most enjoyable aspect of the Park Palace, at least... More

Mice. Dirty. Boys that work the kitchen have no idea what the are doing. Nobody is in Kabul on holiday, but this place makes your stay considerably worse. You have been warned.

Yes, I am back here at Park Palace Guest House and again in January. Only this time, our transport was at the airport to pick us after a five hour delay in the flight due to a snowed out runway at Kabul Airport. The parking area was a mess - but that's not the problem!! I was expecting to be... More

I have stayed at park palace alot over the years. In 2009 the UN based many staff at this hotel before the Bahktar GH attack. It then underwent a security update and is now even more secure than prevuiously. The rooms are on the smallish side but everything works and they are comfortable. There is satellite TV, free laundry and... More

The Park Palace Guest House has the front half for NGOs, etc., at $50 per room. The backside is for UN staff and they pay $75 per room. The UN has more security guards. The rooms are like university dorm rooms, though more run down. The internet is slow. The breakfast is boring. The gym is terrible. It's usually dirty... More

If possible avoid Khabul! I stayed in business and went here because it is more discrete and safe than tradional hotels which are frequently attacked by terrorists. The rooms were confortable and clean. The food in the restaurant was terrible. Expect many security check before you can walk inside

It's clean, very safe as security is very tight. It is expensive, but I think you are actually paying for the security it offers rather than comfort/Luxury. You do get breakfast and laundry included. Room consist of the basic 1970s style, en-suit bathroom. Air-con/heater. daily cleaning and change of towel evey 3 days. Breakfast buffet is basic, you have a... More

My transport that should have picked me up at the Kabul International Airport never turned up despite waiting for over one hour and I can say it was freezing standing outside the terminal building (passngers are not allowed to stay inside till their transport comes). Got into a taxi (which I was told later was a big risk!!!) when the... More

The Park Palace is well known in the NGO community as a secure location on a out of the way side street. I never felt unsafe during my 3 week stay there. I also traveled with 2 female colleagues and they also felt secure. The grassy inner courtyard is well maintained and offers some nice greenery to an otherwise dusty/dirty... More

I stayed there 10 nights, clean place, good value for the price..includes daily laundry and breakfast. food was good; friendly people. The rooms need some attention, like painting and upgrading...but seriously it was ok, nice garden outside whwre you can relax with with a cup of tea.. recommended!
