Good place to stay right in the heart of town. They have 2 penthouses on the 6 th floor which are well appointed but they don't have a lift. i have been planning 4m 9th june 2011 to14 june 2011 . food and service was not gud.. buffet system but not many options.. location is gud.. hotel was started in 2007. bathrooms r small but very hygenic.. rums r well decorate.. daily housekeeping and daily newspaper ... with LCD. overall good accomodation

Excellent location, food taste was ok. But we were highly satisfied and spent 5 nights of our possible seven nights in oriental. I dont know rates of other hotels at the M G Road, but i found this to be expensive.

Bang on the mall road dotted with - pastery shops, multi- cuisine restaurants , cafetarias and curios shops. Decorated with appealing local Sikkimese stuff. Rooms are small but clean. The hotel is a 5 story building on a small area. There is no lift and have approx 3-4 rooms per floor. The rooms are small with no fan or AC. If you go to this hotel in summers, it becomes slight suffocating in room (especially if you climb 5 floors to your room). Only ventilation in room are windows... More
