I have been there Twice - both was bad! Worst Customer service, probably no customer service- There is an old lousy Grumpy French man who is very rude with Indians and Africans but very polite to all the white folks. I stayed there morning 6 AM- the Flush wasn't working and I called the room service- they replied, room service... More

What a wonderful place after travelling through India! I was also wondering about the homemade cheese and the french "charcuterie" from the restaurant, and the lovely swimming pool. You have also some good musical party and the famous "cheese party". The service is not always fast, but don't forget, we are in India. The rooms are very clean, the "Thai... More

We stayed at Mango Hill from April 30-May 1, 2012. The best feature about this place is undoubedly the pool. rest - The service is HORRIBLE. Average time to receive your order is 1 hour. You feel like you are completely on your own. There is no one to greet you when you check in, no one wants to know... More

We arrived at around 2-3 P.M. on Tuesday (24th April). At the reception, we have been informed that the room which we booked (classic - A/C) is not available and that we would get the Deluxe room at the same price. We did agree (who wouldn't?) we asked for the swimming-pool view but they said that all the rooms with... More

The Mango Hill Hotel is close to Pondicherry and Auroville. It's a nice little Hotel with sweet, I would say, Bali-style rooms. The prices are awesome for this area and there's no comparable hotel close by. It has a huge swimmingpool and from Mo-Fri it is rather empty. Weekend they are pretty much booked out, which is not bothering at... More

There are sometimes visitors who may not want to stay in Auroville but nearby. One of the best options is Mango Hill. French run and inspired the property is a gem. Apart from the location just minutes from Auroville it is a well equipped and excellent value hotel offering really good service. The rooms are simple but more than adequate... More

Location: Located off the East Coast Road near Auroville Beach, this property is away from town and will require you to hire a car or take a bus to get to the French town. Property: The property is nice, the swimming pool being the best feature. We stayed in the Thai cottages with balconies overhanging on the pool. There’s not... More

A couple of us friends stayed at Mango Hill over the weekend - it's a little expensive compared to other places but it was well worth the spend. Our stay was very pleasant, the classic rooms were spacious, airy and clean - our room overlooked the pool and had a lot of privacy. We spent most of our time lounging... More

As my review title says, this place is good for the rooms and the magnificent pool. Other than that theres nothing there. Food is best had elsewhere and even breakfast takes a long time and the variety is very poor. Rooms are low lit and nicely designed. I have stayed here twice and would go only if there arent rooms... It was the beginning of March and we really needed a break from work and city life. So we headed out to what looked like a nice but affordable break at Mango Hill , Pondicherry. The best thing about this place is the swimming pool. The resort is sort of built around the pool. And this is where we spent... More
