Stayed for 3 nights in March. Very friendly staff. Excellent breakfast. Rooms were nicely furnished. Bathrooms were fine. Wifi is intermittent. Would stay again. Pondicherry is small - so location is fine.

This is an old mansion which has been made over to a hotel. The staff could not be more friendly or helpful. The food was superb. We even had room WiFi (if not exactly fast).
All modern conveniences and AC. Comfortable beds and spotlessly clean.
A very good way to spend a few days with most attractions in walking distance.

2nd of 36 hotels in India. Small boutique hotel, spacious rooms, tasteful decor. Set menus for meals were a little expensive and smaller serves than elsewhere in India but the food was very good. In our room the air con returned mositure to the room which contributed to some dampness in bedding. No pool.

This is a small (10 rooms) hotel owned and run by CGH Earth chain. It is NOT a chain hotel but a unique boutique property situated in a fairly quiet part of Pondicherry but close to all the street action one would expect in this bustling town and a ten minutes dander to the sea front. We had only two...

I should confess that as we entered the Perumal Koil Street, looking at the hustle / bustle around, we were wondering how the stay would be here? Once you enter the property, then you realise that you have come back home. Small hotel, 10 rooms...Simple and elegant interiors, reminding the old and stylish Chettinad bungalows… very friendly and receptive staff...

This is a very attractive hotel with nice size rooms and a gentle ambience. The outside of the hotel looks very ordinary but inside it is lovely with a central courtyard and plainly furnished but attractive rooms. It is centrally located very near to the church and the seafront.

We pulled up to Maison Perumal on a quiet street and were delighted to see what looks like a charming home and not a hotel. We were warmly greeted by the brilliant manager Dinu where check-in was efficient and brief. As we arrived in the afternoon we had lunch which was very good - a nice fish and an eggplant...

Last year we enjoyed a 5 weeks stay ( Feb 14 - March 19 ) at Maison Perumal. This year ( Feb 5 -March 9 ) we came back to this very nice Chettinad-like house. Dinu Ramakrishnan and his staff reach the level of CGH Earth excellence and are so warm and accomodating that you feel at home ( "...

This is a very special hotel. From the outside it looks like nothing, in fact the street scene was a mess, but maybe still residual from the cyclone. But once inside its charming, charming charming. We had a very memorable fish dinner. Really it was brilliant. And the staff was very personable and delightful!

Having stayed in the superb CGH Group Spice Village resort, our expectations were quite high for this hotel however unfortunately there do not seem to be consistent standards in the CGH Group e.g. whilst Spice Village provided refrigerators, tea and coffee making facilities and accepted American Express cards, Maison Perumal did none of these. However these shortcomings were more than...
