We recently spend a most enjoyable autumn week-end at Bowentown Holiday Park ,what a delightful place .We hired a cabin which had everything you could need and once the sun went down the heat pump in the living area warmed the whole cabin and the place was cosy in no time. The easy access to the beach and the lovely... More

My husband and I stayed in a motel unit for three nights while attending a wedding. What a fantastic place for a relaxing getaway. A short stroll to the beach and incredible views from the hilltop. The unit was beautifully decorated and contained all we needed, including a much appreciated coffee plunger! We inspected the camping toilets, entertainment room and... More

My Wife and I spent 5 days at Bowentown Beach Holiday park in March 2012, we found an excellent camping environment with first class resources and staff assistance that was second to none. Our powered site for the campervan was first class and the access to the beaches was absolutely brilliant. The toilet, showering and kitchen facilities were spotlessly clean... More

We recently stayed in a self contained studio apartment in the Holiday Park. The unit was very well appointed, clean and had a great supply of tea, sugar, coffee - even plunger coffee with a plunger! There is access to ocean and harbour beaches, a hill with magnificent views and remains of a Maori pa, and the chance to see... More

Have just spent another amazing week at Bowentown Beach Holiday Park! Yet again, Was blown away by the staff, clean facilities, HUGE campsites, and just the overall campgrounds. It is super well maintained, the grounds are immaculate, and despite some shocking weather, our site never became muddy or unenjoyable. The staff continually seem to go well out of their way... More

When motel options fail, think holiday cabin. This statement from 2 Aucklanders that like their home comforts. Offered a cute 'unit' in otherwise fully booked Holiday park. Very smart and fully self contained - perfect for the Aucklanders. The options from this location were outstanding - a short stroll to the surf, a stiff hike to the summit, or a... More

We had a fantastic stay at Bowentown just before Christmas (20/21/22 Dec). The campsite was very clean and well maintained, the scenery was stunning and the staff were particularly helpful and friendly (especially helpful trying to sort out an electrical problem on our campervan). Having spent a month travelling round both North and South Island and having stayed in quite... More

After staying here 11 years for our family holidays this would be an extreme worst year ever. Grounds not maintained mud and holes everywhere, extremely wet sites with no drainage. Drains blocked and flooding tents and caravan utilities. Cars have ripped up ground that it is full of mud that is smelling foul around sites. Mud being traipsed on to... More

We paid for a tent site for 18 nights And were there for four nights. This is due to flooding that happened on our site from a blocked drain that wasn't checked once heavy rain started. Water went knee high thru the tent and could of drowned my deep sleeping son. We made a hasty retreat and packed up what... More

Very enjoyable stay definitely will be back! Camped off-peak and could have stayed much much longer. Access to amazing part of the beach, friendly hosts, completely spotless amenities. Getting high in price p/p for a campsite but the value is there. More
