Little hidden gem. There are so many apartment options in this area but this one is simple and well located. It is a bit of a walk to Broadbeach mall (takes about 10 minutes) but it is perfect distance to walk off a lovely dinner at all of those great restaurant options. One block from the beach. We enjoyed our stay at San Mateo. The beach is very close and the pool/bbq area is very nice. Lovely staff. Unfortunately, we could feel the springs through the mattress which was a big let down. Other than that, I can highly recommend San Mateo as a great family friendly place to stay. More

Hired the Penthouse on top floor for three days. Fab. Top Class. Staff great and very helpful. Great views to beach and all round GC. No in room Wi-Fi unfortunately but there is an Internet Cafe just round the corner. Gold Coast is BEAUTIFUL. More
