I have been visiting this apartment resort in Methven/Mt Hutt for a number of years now. The staff are always welcoming. We stayed at the 2 bedroom apt for 4N. At NZ245 a night, it is ok (comfy bed, lots of heating) but definitely not luxurious as advertised. As there are 4 of us, the bath mat and bathroom got quite wet. I also have a fractured ankle and the wet floor was a hazard. We requested for a dry mat.... More

This is the perfect family base to explore Methven or to ski at Mt Hutt. We only stayed the one night but the Brinkley showed enough of itself for us to give it a recommendation....and we would certainly stay again. The quality of the rooms and the furnishings was rather average, so I don't think it was a very good value for the price. The restaurant was quite good (both food and service) and I especially enjoyed playing a game of chess by the fire while waiting for dinner. More
