I stayed with a group of friends attending a wedding in Methven. We booked a studio plus the 2bedroom apartment which joined together to create the 3 bedroom apartment. Modern, very clean and great facilities within the apartment - huge kitchen and bathrooms and lounge area with dining table and outdoor seating. I cannot recommend this place enough. Pete the... We stayed here for 3 nights, 4 days. We stayed in the two bedroom apartment, which suited our family of 2 adults and 2 daughters (10 and 13) perfectly. The whole apartment was brand new. It had one bedroom with a Queen bed and the other with two singles. There was only one bathroom. We loved the design of the... More

Ski Time is simple and basic but we did love the log fire and dining area as it was very warm and inviting. The only issues we had were that the rooms have video players not DVD players (!) and we weren't given a bar fridge or kettle. This would have been handy! Only on our last night did we... More

Fantastic place to stay and relax after the slopes at near by Mount Hutt, large heated rooms, fantastic open fire places, friendly staff, happy hours and the penne arrabiata what more could you ask for, gentle stroll into town, Methvern is a lovely town and Ski Time lodge offers that unique experience of charm, location, modern convenience with a real... My girlfriend and I stayed in a Ski Time studio apartment when skiing at Mt Hutt in August 2011. The apartment itself is more akin to a hotel room and is quite small however they are very modern and clean and all you really need given you're out skiing all day. The people at Ski Time were extremely friendly and... More

Methven Skitime resort was a brilliant venue from which to launch my family's intrepid skiing expeditions up (and down) Mount Hutt! Food and accommodation was second to none. Methven is also a nice rural town with suitable facilities which cater for all sorts. The most important thing however is the quality of the staff at Ski Time resort. During the... More

We ate in the restaurant for an evening meal. We ordered the Chicken liver Pate it was OK, but it came with hunks of white bread very cold. It would have been so easy to have warmed or toasted the bread. Or mains were Steak with vegtables. How to ruin a good steak, just pour a sauce of reduced beetroot... More

We remember your visit very well, as you left a written complaint (on a white paper serviette) for our chef, who definitely took it to heart. We are quite proud of our restaurant and your review does no justice to our standards. It is very rare that we have complaints, but we can’t please everyone. We would like to apologise... More

Our 2 bedroom unit for 2 couples had single beds in one of the rooms. Not ideal. The unit itself was modern, clean, spacious and well equipped. It would suit keen skiers but we stayed there because Christchurch was still suffering from its earthquake. The town is small and services are light on. More

All our beds are the zipper type which can be 2 x single beds or 1 x super king bed, so it is hard to say what went wrong with your booking. Were you perhaps a late arrival “off the street”? If an apartment has no booking it is made up as a super king bed in one room and... More

Stayed here during a ski trip to Methven. We were unfortunate enough to end up with a room above the restaurant/bar, which was very noisy - lots of drunken shouting, singing etc until very, very late. To top that the flat roof outside our windows had fans on them which whirred/buzzed on and off all night. The room itself was... More

Sorry if noise came through from the bar. Perhaps there was a somewhat rowdy group in house on that particular visit. It happens sometimes but is certainly not the norm. Perhaps a late rugby match ... New Zealand v Australia? As to the fan noise; there is only one fan on that roof, which is the kitchen extractor. This is... More
