We were hoping to have a few relaxing days away and we were not disappointed. Sharon and Ray are a delightful couple who made us feel really welcome at Duke House. Our rooms were very comfortable and spotlessly clean and breakfasts quite splendid. The orchard and informal gardens of Duke House made our short stay the more enjoyable. Brian &... More

After a blustery birthday camping in the wind, rain and 2 degrees max temp in april in norfolk. This very welcoming establishment was like walking into heaven, Warm cosy and loads of history and loads of collectors pieces to marvell at. Then there's the breakfast, Fab morning feast's before venturing out on bicycles to southwold, Just a 30min trip away.... More

What a fabulous find in the Suffolk countryside, Duke House was such a welcoming place to stay, with the owners being really warm and friendly. Martha our dog was also made to feel at home with the lovely big garden to have a sniff around. More

I was dubious about where we were staying as I had been on Google maps before I went. I love Southwold but looking at the maps I thought that we were too far away from anything. I was wrong! There was so much within a short drive that I was spoilt with the choice. We stayed upstairs and the room... More

We found Duke House B&B to be absolutely charming, set in lovely grounds the accommodation we very, very comfortable with good size rooms and en-suite. Everything was done to a high yet homely standard even down to the fresh cut flowers in the room. We certainly stared off the day with an excellent breakfast and chatted with Sharon and Ray... More

We have stayed at a number of B & Bs in Suffolk and this is our favourite. We have stayed several times and it has always been a joy to stay there. The accommodation is very comfortable and clean, the breakfast in the conservatory is always delicious and Ray and Sharon are friendly, welcoming hosts. Also, the garden is beautiful!... More

We - couple with dog - stayed for one night and were impressed with everything about Duke House. Our downstairs room was spacious with comfy armchairs and soft rugs and a separate large bathroom. We appreciated the welcoming touches - from tea tray and biscuits to cotton wool and toiletries. We loved the framed music hall posters, paisley eiderdowns and... More

We had two nights at Duke House together with our alsation/collie cross! The ground floor dog friendly room was clean and comfortable with lovely furnishings and very cosy. Ray and Sharon were wonderful hosts and gave a very warm and friendly welcome. The setting is superb with breakfast in the conservatory overlooking open farmland. The heavy snowfall on the Saturday... More

We stayed with Sharon and Ray over Christmas - Christmas Eve and Christmas Day to be precise. The welcome was warm and friendly, and filled with small touches that made all the difference; the room was not only beautifully decorated, but smelled wonderful, was well equipped with goodies (chocolates and biscuits) and had a heated blanket put on to warm... Our night at Duke House was great - it was perfect weather and we stood in the gorgeous garden for ages, trying to find as many ripe figs as we could for breakfast the following morning... I snuck off with an amazing bunch of grapes from the vines outside the bedrooms - just so gorgeous to be in such a... More
