Very comfortable family hotel. Lovely staff. Nothing too much trouble. Excellent food. Complimentary sherry and fruit in room + usual tea/coffee/water/biscuits. Beautiful gardens. A very relaxing break. More

I visited Redcoats Farmhouse Hotel & Restaurant in person to book an Afternoon Tea for my parent's 57th Wedding Anniversary. The lady I spoke to was extremely helpful and went through a list of likes/dislikes of sandwich fillings. I booked the Tea for 3.00pm. On arrival my parents were asked to wait in the Bar as lunches were still being... More

As a lone female business traveller, much appreciated the warm welcome and personal friendly and attentive service, despite the fact that the hotel and restaurant was extremely busy. Check-in was swift, a discreet table in the restaurant reserved for me, simply excellent food at dinner and the fire stoked as I enjoyed my after dinner coffee in the library. My... More

I stayed at the hotel in April - after we had booked found out the restaurant would be closed ( it was a bank holiday though) Stayed in the stable block and the room was very good but there were the remains of a sherry (I think) decanter on the desk. The hospitality of the owner was excellent and we... More

I was taken here in 2004 for my retirement dinner. The food was OK, but the wine (expensive) was distinctly average. On another occasion my wife and I went for an overnight weekend brreak. Dinner was OK, but the room was draughty and noisy, and breakfast was terrible (the smoked fish was probably off and it was difficult to get... More

I stayed here again on my last night before flying out from the UK. This time I had family with me amnd there was a unimous view that one night is not enough! Next time we shall try and stay longer. Although the excellent restaurant is not open on Sunday evenings, Peter was very helpful and directed us to an... More

We wanted a nice place to stay before catching an early flight from Luton airport (20 mins away) Redcoats was perfect! A lovely slice of home-style country living. Such a refreshing change to the standard hotel chains More

We went back to this hotel 25 yrs after we spent our wedding night there. We enjoyed every minute of it. Room was beautifully furnished, bathroom amazing and food absolutely out of this world-[try the brown bread ice cream]. Staff a little bit eccentric just like the house, but it all adds to the total charm of the place. It... More

I returned for an overnight stay at Redcoats after a gap of 23 years and found it just good as I fondly recalled it to be! Comfy and cosy, informal yet traditional, just what you would like to expect a family owned country house hotel would offer. Our room was comfortable, with some nice touches and the kitchen provided an... More

I have been visiting Redcoats Hotel for over 20 years, and it somehow manages to keep getting better. An ideal small country house hotel, traditional in the very best sense, but with outstanding, genuinely friendly service and a consistently high standard of cooking. Our lunch here only two days ago was possibly the best yet. I have used its facilities... More

Thank you for your review and thank you for your loyal custom over the years. It's always nice to hear from a satisfied customer, but all the more so when it is over such a long period of time. I sincerely hope we are able to continue to meet and exceed your expectations in the future. Ben More
