Arriving at Offley Place, you come into a pretty little village and when you turn into the drive, you can imagine you have become some wealthy individual from the 18th century!

We were greeted by Richard, who I presume is the manager (never thought to ask!), who took us into a beautiful side room, quickly and efficiently checked us in, asked if we would be dining there and showed us to our room. We went up an elegant staircase and up to our room which was beautiful. The hotel has very recently had a major refurbishment and everything in the room looked to be new but very much in keeping with the style of the house, from the four poster bed, to the framed prints on the walls. The thick pile carpet was a treat on the toes too!!
