Stayed here before it was refurbished so was expecting may be more - but then again at £68 per room per night including breakfast not that bad. The rooms have been modernised, but after two years they are already showing signs of wear and tear and I felt the carpet was dirty, there were two air freshners in the room,... More

We stayed for one night in early december arriving about 20:45. Parking is tight at best, however the landlord very kindly moved his own car into the street so we could park off road. As it was absolutely lashing down at the time this was a fine gesture indeed. We had the restaurant to ourselves, as I said we had... More

Popped in for lunch and found the menu to be a bit pretentious and pricey. Lasagne was overcooked and dry, chicken was average, chips were abysmal. Wrinkled and powdery, tasted and felt like they'd been cooked and hour ago and reheated in the microwave. Four meals and half-glasses of soft drink were £48 and certainly not worth it. Pub should... Just had the most delicious Sunday lunch . The carvery was plentiful, the lady dishing out the beef could have fed 3 with what was on my plate. Beautifully cooked vegetables, and plenty of them. Pudding was apple crumble and cream, superb. Have not stayed at the hotel, but will definately in the future. Staff helpful and friendly, hotel spotlessly... More

When you park at the back of the hotel, you start to wonder. When you get to your room you will be pleasantly surprised. Our room had been recently modernised to a good standard, everything that you could need, new and clean. Free mineral water and fruit plus tea and coffee making facilities (and biscuits). The restaurant is at the... More

Our cycle mixed group of ten stayed twice there as part of a tour of north wales. Rooms have been well refurbished with card opening doors, great shower, basin and loo in a compact space. It is a small town pub that does food and b&b. Lounge area and tv one end of bar. Great food and beer! One of... More

The Elan Hotel is in a good and quiet location in town. The pub/restaurant has a bright and homely feel. There is plenty of outside seating to the front and rear of the hotel. Breakfast was good (didn't eat there in the evening) and plentiful. Our room was at the back of the hotel overlooking the small car park and... More

Spent a couple of nights in Room 10. Good sized bedroom with bijou but perfectly adequate en suite - and a nice view complete with red kite. A generous bowl of fresh fruit and a couple of bottles of mineral water, on top of the usual tea, coffee and biscuit supplies, was a nice touch that I wasn't expecting in... More

Stayed here about 7-8 yrs ago with family but returned this time with a group of 14 cyclists. The place has changed quite dramatically, out with the old fashioned B&B and in with a vibrant, modern bar, restaurant and accommodation. The place was ideal. The rooms were more than adequate, most having been recently refurbished to a high standard. The... More
