We had a double room with four poster bed. Our daughter and grand daughter had a family room at the top of the house with a good view at the back. Both rooms were warm and comfortable with armchairs and a sofa. The cooked breakfast was very good and the owner was very friendly We would certainly stay here again... More

Stayed here for 2 nights at the end of October, first impression was of a blackpool b&b.As we were in rhayder to see family we only needed somewhere to sleep,so weren't too bothered with having an en-suite bathroom,or so we thought big mistake especially when you find out the shared bathroom is at the top of the stairs, which lead down to... Water pressure in the shower was pathetic. Fried breakfast was served up cold, except for a lukewarm fried egg, on a cold plate. Otherwise place was average. More

If you like to stay at your Gran's house then you'll probably find this to your liking as well. The decor comes out of the mid 1970s, complete with plastic flowers, there are floral prints everywhere. Pink bathroom furniture. Comes complete with a charming and friendly mature host. The landlady keeps the place clean, almost too clean, as there's a... More

We recently stayed at Liverpool House for two nights, in the annex. We received a very warm welcome and the accommodation was comfortable and clean. Breakfast, served from 7.30 for the early risers, was very good. More

We have just returned from a long weekend at Liverpool House, and will return again soon. Our bedroom was first rate. Nice comfy bed. There was also a settee in the room which is good if you want to sit and read. There was also a very large comfortable lounge with lovely views over the back of the house to... More

I stayed here in late october and felt I had gone back 30 years in time - the lady who runs it is very pleasant and helpful but the premises are very dated with poor quality furniture, sticky carpets, cheap beds etc which would be ok if the price was cheap but at £62 for a double room it is... like many of the reviews on this site with regards to this hotel i have to agree that it's not the best b and b ever. My family and daughter's friend stayed for one night on a trip to aberystwyth. The initial impression is that the hotel is stuck in some sort of time warp and needs kicking and dragging... More

Had a one night stopover on journey to South Wales. Very average accommodation, decor a touch dated, bed very uncomfortable could feel the springs all night. Carpet didn't feel clean and was a little sticky underfoot. For £10 more had a wonderful night in Carmarthenshire. Goose down duvet, luxury mohair throw and matching cushions. Solid oak flooring, luxury double power... More
