Located in the historical building, this hotel impresses with atmosphere and friendliness. Just next to Aberlour distillery it's a perfect place to start exploring whisky trail, we've travelled to Glenfiddich, Glenlivet, Cardhu, Maccalan, Glenfarclas. The hotel is a historical country house visited by Princess Margaret. Easy walk into the village, next to Aberlour Distilllery. Close to Glenfarclas Distillery and Walkers Shorbread Factory. On the Whisky Trail, and near River Spey for fishing and walking. More

A lovely hotel tucked just off the road in Aberlour - alongside the river Spey. Lovely walks just across the road (the Speyside way passes nearby and a pedestrian suspension bridge across the river). We had our Civil Wedding Ceremony at the Dowans Hotel and we had a wonderful day.
