We stayed in one of the studio lodges. The view was stunning. However, we felt that although the lodge was comfortable it was not ideal to self cater, which was the reason we chose to stay there. We knew that it only had a kitchenette with fridge, microwave, kettle and toaster which would have been fine but there was only... more

Stayed here for 2 nights in October for a wedding. Stayed in room 101, really beautiful... had a double room and one with twin beds + bathroom. Wonderful view of the bay, gorgeous window seats, nicely decorated. Only 2 moans; beds were quite uncomfy - very hard, and unfortunately, the kids room stank of vomit (obviously quite recent!).... This was... more

I've stayed twice in Ravens Hall and love the isolation and history of the place, love to visit Whitby and Robin Hood's Bay from there. Love to get down to the beach to look for fossils, mainly ammonites (its pretty hard to get down the cliffs, you need the right shoes and probably a hiking stick), love the rock pools... more

We were staying as part of a group and and as such got to see several rooms, and they vary considerably in size and decor. Our room (just the standard level) had a bizarre layout as there was a fire escape corridor which ran between our room and our bathroom. The bathroom itself was clean (if rather clinical in appearance)... more

Stayed 2 nights in Room 124 (just at the top of the stairs). £85 per night inc breakfast. Hotel is quite isolated but equidistant from Whitby & Scarborough. The village of Ravenscar is non-existent and the nearest pub is probably the Falcon Inn a few miles away, so unless you drive off for the night you will be eating in.... more

We stayed in the new lodges overlooking Robin Hood's Bay. These wooden eco lodges are excellent - beautifully furnished, very comfortable, TVs internet etc lovely small balcony upstairs and patio with amazing views over the sea. The hotel is more old-fashioned and victorian, a lot of older people there - it has a golf course on the cliff tops and... more

We stayed in a Panorama Lodge (upstairs lodge rooms) for 7 nights for a relaxing holiday with our children. It was clean and beautifully decorated with ample space for four of us. We had no problems with noise from other lodges. The views from the lodge were fantastic. On most days we played games in the hotel grounds: golf, croquet,... more

My wife and I called in the Raven one Monday for lunch. We had not booked but the dining room was nearly empty anyway. We were given a table near rthe window so could enjoy one of the finest views in Britain over Robin Hood's Bay, an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. This was just as well because it took... more

I have eaten several times in the restaurant and stayed once in the winter. Thus emboldened I decided to recommend a party of student opera singers and started the usual enquires. I was passed from Gemma Lambert to general manageress Diane Uhualde who then fell sick and did not reply. Then I was told they were not interested. When I... more
