I've stayed twice in Ravens Hall and love the isolation and history of the place, love to visit Whitby and Robin Hood's Bay from there. Love to get down to the beach to look for fossils, mainly ammonites (its pretty hard to get down the cliffs, you need the right shoes and probably a hiking stick), love the rock pools... more

We were staying as part of a group and and as such got to see several rooms, and they vary considerably in size and decor. Our room (just the standard level) had a bizarre layout as there was a fire escape corridor which ran between our room and our bathroom.
