Mother-in-Law's 80th birthday celebrations, went really well. Well looked after by the staff, whole room for dinner to ourselves. Went for afternoon tea today and ended up on a sofa in the middle of furniture removal and table laying rather than in a dining area away from the drinkers. My sandwich was very average though my companions said their scones and cream were excellent. Our daughter kindly took us and I felt a bit let down. More

Being in Rutland, it is given that the location will be superb. The staff are excellent and very friendly without being intrusive. The rooms are very,very nice, though when I stayed, decorators were in residence sprucing the public areas.
