The restaurant and bar service is exceptionally poor due to a lack of staff training and supervision. Just returned from a day at Barnsdale using a Living Social Deal for flotation therapy and lunch. Can't fault any of the day, all staff friendly and helpful. My husband and I had a very enjoyable week staying here in one of the timeshare apartments. The hotel is set on the edge of a slight hill and therefore it's not easy for elderly or disabled. Lovely room with views over Rutland water. Service in the bar and restaurant was terrible. We addressed our concerns to the duty manager at check out. He was very polite and apologetic, refunding the cost of our evening meal. Very disappointing and we would not recommend this hotel.
