My husband and I have stayed twice this year at Parklands Motor Lodge, as my job has required me to travel from Palmerston North on overnight trips. We have had two excellent stays, and I have recommended this motor lodge to my work place for any colleagues travelling to Turangi. I highly recommend Parklands, thank you :) More

Perfect for quiet couple of days for walking, fishing and sightseeing. Craig and Angela are good hosts and Craig has a great sense of humour and a wonderful laugh, just as long as you don't take yourself too seriously! Try the steak in the restaurant perfect after the Tongarirro crossing and have a few beers in the bar and join... More

The motel is well located for exploring Tongariro and Taupo and obviously very popular for fishing. Room was basic but comfortable and quiet and the motel has facilities like a small pool, spas and a restaurant. More

Parklands had everything I needed for my visit, plus extras such as a hot tub and pool. But more importantly, hosts Craig and Angela were extremely hospitable and helpful. The hotel is especially convenient for anyone who likes to hike or fish. I do not think you can beat the value. Stay there! More

We selected this motel because of its proximity to Tongariro National Park and it had a separate bedroom with single beds for our child. We stayed for two nights The unit had everything you require although the decor is definitely dated and the bathroom particularly is in need of renovation. We stayed in winter and were very warm - the... More

Clean with nice kitchenette. Not really anything special. We did appreciate the full cable TV selections while we recovered from our Tongariro hike. More

There is nothing wrong with the accommodation itself, though, it's a rather simple for the price we paid. The service was unbelieveble (rude). The host only knows how to answer any single question with one word..... Yes, No, OK, Hi, Bye. More

My wife and I stayed here for three nights, having picked Turangi as the base for walking the Tongariro Crossing, which was one of the highlights of our time in New Zealand. We had a motel unit, with a large living/dining/kitchen area, bedroom and bathroom. The kitchen had a fridge, cooker and microwave. The decoration and furnishings were simple but... More

One story motel. Quaint and friendly family atmosphere. Restaraunt was surprisingly good and they will bring the food directly to your room. Separate bedroom from TV room. Good for kids. Free newspaper. Was warm in room when we arrived and there is no A/C (That is not unusual). Opened windows but bugs came in as there were no screens. Night... More

Nice motel in a not-very happening area. The reason I picked it was its proximity to Tongariro Nat'l Park, which was about a 45 min. drive from the hotel. Has a rustic cabin-like feel with logs/wood panelling in the rooms. The staff was friendly. More
