This was our first B&B experience during our trip to New Zealand and Australia. We weren't quite sure what to expect before we arrived, but were pleasantly surprised. As our trip involved nearly three months away from home, we had plenty of bags, some of which we were going to leave in the car. Peter insisted that those we did... More

Above all we found that Kathryn and Peter were proud of their area and interested in us and in making our stay as enjoyable and comfortable as possible. The 6pm social on the balcony with drinks and nibbles allowed us to get suggestions, ask about the local highlights [advice that we followed [Opoutere - wow!] and even drop a hint... More

John & Kate, Many thanks for your very complimentary comments. Both Peter and I really enjoyed hosting you along with Dave & Mary and we are pleased to hear how much you enjoyed your stay at Pacific View and on the Coromandel Peninsula. We already know how fabulous the region is but we love it when our guests discover it... More

Our first experience of B&B in NZ and we have clearly started with the best. From the moment we arrived we realised this was going to be special. From the early evening drinks welcome to the long list of breakfast choices we were made to feel very much at home. Their local knowledge enabled us to make the best of... More

Kathryn and Peter are gracious hosts and have thought of everything we could possibly want or need during our stay. The dinner was right up there with the best restaurant meals we had in New Zealand and the breakfast was also top notch. I was worried that the bed would be too soft as this was often a problem during... More

What a wonderful way to begin our two week trip. This was our second time in New Zealand in four years and staying in quality B&B's were highlights to both trips. We stayed with Kathryn and Peter for two nights in the king room and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. We were immediately made to feel right at home. The decor... More

We stayed our final 3 nights in NZ here and couldn't have asked for a better place to stay or a nicer way to finish up our vacation. Kathryn and Peter are truly gracious hosts and make every moment you spend in their home a lovely one. Breakfasts are very good, and they even offer a choice of several options... More

On our quick trip to the Coromandel , we only had one night at Pacific View but wished we could have stayed longer. The accommodation is extremely comfortable and the welcome by Kathryn & Peter was warm and friendly. The dinner was wonderful, accompanied by generous quantities of very good New Zealand wines. This B&B is a real gem and... More

Outstanding location and service from friendly and professional hosts. The additional evening meals when available are a must, excellent cooks, very good wines included. Three points of service not normally associated with B&B; sundowner drinks on the balcony (weather permitting), great to meet both the hosts and other visitors, complimentary small carafe of port in the room and a small... This was our first visit to Whangamata and Kathryn and Peter's B&B was a lovely place to stay. An awesome view of the ocean from the room's balcony greeted us. A nice touch with complimentary wine and chocolates in the room when we arrived. A little misunderstanding over the arrival time was quickly averted and we were made to feel... More

Kathryn and Peter have gone out of their way to satisfy all the needs of their guests. Their home became our home and we enjoyed the spectacular views, the amenities and the warmth of our welcome. More
