From the location, nestling at the foot of mountains to the red deer on the lawn as you approach, this is a truly unique hotel. Most guests seemed to be West Highland Way walkers, so there was quite the party. Free computer. Rooms clean and adequate. But with location and atmosphere like this hotel has, who cares about that? We spent one night here whilst touring Scotland and were very disappointed with the standard of accommodation compared to other, less expensive places we stayed at although the location/views are amazing. The room was on the small side and comfortable but the bathroom was in serious need of refurbishment. Both our evening meal and breakfast were good. The main problem... More

This time we only stopped off for lunch. The food here always delivers. We normally eat in the climbers bar but there's also a larger restaurant within the Hotel. Great, varied choice of food too. The staff are extremely helpful and always have the crack with you. Great place to share your climbing/walking experiences. We have stayed here before and... More

We stopped off for lunch here last weekend after walking over Rannoch Moor. The service at the bar was excellent with chatty and polite staff. Despite being busy the food was served promptly and tasted great, with decent sized portions. It was also reasonably priced. On top off that it's a fantastic location and right on the main A82. Well... More

Right under the Great Shepherd - perhaps my favourite mountain - is the marvellous Kingy. Great bars, with entertaining and helpful staff, lots of good company, and good food, The breakfast room is an entertainment in itself. Have some bread to feed the deer, and bring your own mattress topper if you aren't bivvy-hardened! More

You cant miss this place on a visit to Glencoe. It is well known and a haven for walkers, climbers & tourists. We all had a lunch in here & the bar/lounge was very quiet - probably waiting the onslaught of walkers! However they have a good menu & the food is absolutely fine and at reasonable prices. The only... More

Right on the gateway to Glencoe this hotel offers a great nights sleep, good choice of food and a great pint. Perfect stop for people walking the WHW. The staff were very polite and helpful. En-suite room was great and the scenery was fantastic. Get your friends back home to see you on the live web cam at "kingy.com" More
