“fresh,traditional food and very big and clean room”

My family and I have been there from the 18th of June to the 25th. Very big pool we had good coctals at the pool bar.The room was big,clean and it had also a big balcony.The braekfast was good and it was buffet.The food was very good traditional fresh food.The owners and the staff was really friendly.Matala was a piridise.Sure... As we walked into the lobby we were hit by a horrible sewer smell. Luckily, our room didn't smell but the smell did find it's way to the pool area where we found it impossible to enjoy the pool because of it. The hotel lies 800 metres away from the main Matala beach (caves), 1200 metres from Komo Beach and 1300 metres from magnificent Kokkino Ammos (Red Beach) - its a good point for an active holiday.
