On a cycling trip along the Canal du Midi, we spent the night at Maison Grimaude while passing through Castelnaudary. The B&B, located just off the canal, was well located but the decor was too eclectic and homespun for my taste. The host was friendly and chatty and made a restaurant reservation for us that evening, which was helpful.
