Hotel restaurant De Smulpot at Den Burg in Texel Netherlands is a very special place to stay. The rooms are very modern and well decorated. Beds are special and the restaurant offers all kinds of plates in a nice and warm environment. Thumbs up for the staff of this hotel restaurant. More

This is a delightful little establishment. The rooms are comfortable and the bar/restaurant area has great character. Most importantly, the staff are very welcoming and friendly. Parking is a little difficult, but not a complete show-stopper. More

I would not recommend this hotel. The rooms are described as 'luxury rooms', but the decor and equipment is very dated and grubby. When we closed the curtains we were suddenly joined by 7 huge moths. It was a very warm night, but as our room (number 1) was at the front of the hotel it was difficult to ignore... More
