Hopefully the driving instructions have been improved by now, because it is definitely worth finding this place. Being there early in the season (Easter) it was an ideal base for driving around Puglia and I always enjoyed coming back to my relaxing hotel after a long day out. Still a bit too cool for swimming in the pool, but a... More

Confortable pool lounge chairs, great food, loved their breakfast and diner was divine especially the seafood/ fish ! Would go back although outside of school holidays as can get a bit noisy with not so behaved kids! Rooms comfortable and practical, what you would expect but quite pricey compared to other places we had been in Puglia. More

We stayed at Montelauro for 5 nights this September and enjoyed every minute. It was so peaceful and relaxing. The food was good and the service excellent. The closeness of the Masseria to the sights of Otranto, Lecce and the coastal towns made exploring easy. Highly reccomended. More

We stayed in the Masseria for 4 nights for our honeymoon this August - It is serene and beautiful and we enjoyed every second of our Puglian break there. We ate under the beautiful pergola two nights out of the four and were really happy with the quality of the food, and the freshness of local produce used. The wine... More

To be honest I stayed at the Masseria Montelauro last year but unfortunately never got around to writing a review so I believe the fact that I went again this year at roughly the same time of year is in itself a positive endorsement of this hotel. First the location. Situated conveniently on the main road from Uggiano la Chiesa... More

Masseria Montelauro is lovely, relaxing and peaceful. The rooms are beautifully decorated but simple; the surroundings are verdant - full of olive, citrus, fruit and eucalyptus trees and bourgainvilla; and a swimming pool nestles in the centre of it all. The food here is lovely whether its dinnfer (5 courses), breakfast (buffet) or lunch: fresh, local produce; wonderful Puglian cooking;... More

This was my 2nd stay at Montelauro (previous stay 2 years ago) and overall I still love the property. It is elegant and simple and overall very comfortable. Service is friendly and efficient (especially the guys that help with the bags who are super nice). The breakfast selection and quality is excellent and the pool area relaxing and serene despite... Stayed here for 8 nights in May. We have been to other Masseria further north and enjoyed those, so decided to do the same again. At 160Eur per-night, this was reasonable value compared to other Masseria. We had the standard room, though it looked like ours (#5) was slightly larger that the other standards. The rooms are clean/Spartan with a... More

My husband and i stayed here on the first two nights of a Butterfield and Robinson bicycle tour. They usually choose great hotels of ever increasing luxury as the trip progresses, but this hotel was at the beginning of our trip and was our favourite. The masseria has been restored with true Italian panache, the bedrooms are airy and spacious,... More

Enjoyed our stay at this hotel with its fantastic rooms and location. Not overly impressed by the food but the nearby Otranto more than makes up for this. The Mosquitos around here seemed to like my blood which is unusual..... The staff were all very friendly and helpful and did help resolve any issues that arose. More
