Neal of Norwich, England We stayed as a group of four staying in two apartments on level 5. Yes the hill is a climb but there are stairs up as an alternative, my group were all in their 50's plus and we could manage the two climbs a day ok. The rooms were good and the views across the bay... more

My Family and I stayed from 21/08/2008 to 04/09/2008 Wasps, Wasps, Wasps, but we wasnt sting. Plus we only found out just before we left. (good old Hotel Review), lesson learned. Upon arrival. This went fine, and we got a lift up to our room, which was only 269, we consider our selve's to be very lucky, as it really... more

Kefalonia is a very pretty, sparcely populated Island. The Kefalonia Garden Village (KGV) is a good 1 hour journey from the airport, a drive for those not with a nervous driving disposition. The hotel itself is built on a steep hill which means that there is always a breath taking stroll to reach any of the facilities, probably OK for... more

We stayed at KGV for 2wks in Aug and like others were a bit apprehensive about it due to reading other reviews, but i can honestly say that it really is'nt that bad. Obviously everybodys opinion is different but don't let the bad reviews put you off, if you go with an open mind you will enjoy it. Yes the... more

I booked this holiday in June 2007. I had only been able to find 2 or 3 reviews before i went so went with a very open mind!! I went with my Husband and 2 Daughter's aged 13yrs & 10yrs. You can see KGV from a great distance away as the hotel is huge and like said on other reports... more

My boyfriend took me to KGV for my 21st bday, i originally wanted to go Zante but chose the wrong page in the brochure and ended up going KGV. After reading the previous reviews I was a bit apprehensive about staying there, as I am not the healthiest 21 year old and did not fancy hiking for my yearly holiday,... more

This was our third stay at an all-inclusive during the last four years. The other two were at Louis Grand Glyfada and Louis Princess Meleme. The price for these hotels increased a good bit due to lower third-person rebate or we would have stayed at Meleme again. The Garden village though turned out to be a good choice; the kids... more

We went with an open mind for my 65th birthday,I had requested an apartment on one of the lower of the 6 gradients,we were given one on the third but we both are reasonably active so thought would be OK.Our cases were taken up by van to our apartment which was good & well equipped. The sheets were changed 3 times... more

Having read the reviews before travelling to KGV, we were PETRIFIED! However, having frequented Kefalonia island several times in the past, we knew the benefits of staying in Lixouri and decided to remain open minded. 1. HOTEL LOCATION: The hotel is built in the side of a mountain! My husband and I are mid-30's & of average fitness but the... more

We've just come back from a week at KGV and have to say we were all very sad to come home. I went with my wife, two children, aged 4 and 2, and my mother and all had a fantastic time. A number of reviews have highlighted the fact that the walks to the rooms are difficult and only for... more
