We stayed in aldorie lodge, an adorable house over looking the wee church, we used this as our wedding accomadation, it made a pefect backdrop for photos, and was comfortable spacious and full of beautiful funishings and nic nacs, so much nicer than a boring hotel room. The owners and staff at parkbrae were amazing, nothing was a problem, they... More

Parkbrae is a charming spot, situated idyllically on the shores of Lake Tekapo, just a short walk from the iconic Church of the Good Shepherd and the statue of the Collie Dog, overlooking the stunning view of the lake and mountains. We spent a very comfortable night and were warmly welcomed by the hosts who made us feel part of... More

We spent two nights in the very cute Garden Cottage. The views are unbeatable (looking straight down to the Church of the Good Shepherd and lake), the cottage was well appointed and cosy with so much character (we loved the fire and clawfoot bath!), the gardens are beautiful and the hosts couldn't have done more to be more welcoming. Our... More

We spent two extremely comfortable nights at Lake Tekapo on Parkbrae Estate. The accommodation was immaculate, very clean and with all home comforts. The staff were extremely knowledgeable and friendly. The Estate is small and very well manicured in a great position overlooking the Church of the Good Shepherd. The accommodation is within easy walking distance of the village centre... More

With so many beautiful, well fitted houses/cottages this makes the ideal wedding accommodation. The bride stayed in Aldouri and we had our hair and makeup done in the living room, looking out towards the church of the Good Shepherd. I stayed across the road in the Graden Cottage which like all the accommodation at Parkbrae is excellent. The Groomsmen stayed... More

We had 2 nights enjoying the comforts of this lovely house. It's 3 spacious bedrooms and lounge look out into native bush but still get plenty of sun. Two generous bathrooms meant no hold ups when getting ready to go out in the mornings. The well appointed kitchen made self catering easy. Located a minute from the lake front made... More

A family wedding at Lake Tekapo required the perfect accommodation. Parkbrae Estate provided it. The brides parents and grandmothers enjoyed the charming Aldouri Lodge while the young marrieds loved Bush House and Garden Studio.. Nothing was too much trouble even for the youngest traveller. MacKenzie Basin wind lived upto its name but the bride blew us away as some traditions... More

Wonderful accommodation with olde world charm which was made unique with Caroline's superb touch. Great view of the Lake and church. We stayed in Aldourie which had plenty of room for cars, boats and bikes. Lovely big fridge freezer and kitchen for a weeks stay with 11people. Some of our group stayed in 2 of the wee huts which were... More

Absolutely charmed by this olde worlde property. There are 5 double bedrooms and corresponding space for 10 people. There are lots of nooks and crannies to explore and a fascinating library.
