We stayed there with our timeshare for the first time this June through Royal Holiday. The entire area of Palmas de Mar is beautiful. It suffered greatly after the 1998 Hurricane George, but it slowly recovering and is on its way. It is its own contained little city. There are enough restaurants and stores for a weeks worth of entertainment.... more

I traded my timeshare elsewhere and had no idea I'd end up here. We really enjoyed the spaciousness of the unit and the amenities were basic but OK. Timeshare exchange thru Interval International. The reserved (in March) 3 bedroom unit wasn't available (told all "3's" were closed for renovation) so downgraded to a "standard" 2 story poolside unit.
