I was disappointed to find there was no lift and my room was on the 2nd floor! therefore not to be recommended for those with health problems/disabilities. bedbugs drink human blood and they could still be waiting for more victims in room 204.after spending 4 nights in that room my wife and I returned home with about fifty bites between us.when we conacted management the responce was"bedbugs,there is nothing you can do abou them ,this a hotel and all hotels have bedbugs" dont think we will visit... more

I stayed at the National Hotel in Dingwall on the weekend of 6 November. During my stay there was absolutely no hot water or an apology received from the management giving an explanation until I complained when I left. It is noticeable that there where two large coach parties staying at the same hotel during my stay and similar complaints... more

Our stay at the National was truly exceptional..... The room was clean and so comfy,,, the night meal was the largest platter of fish and chips, and the best!!!!!!!!!! Wait persons were the greatest and most accomadating we could hope for... Breakfast was fabulous. The owner made us feel like family... I definately will stay there again... By the way,... more

This was my second visit to the National Hotel and was about the same as last time. The food is excellent and well served (breakfast was outstanding). Tjhe rooms are un pretentious but clean and comfortable. I found all the staff cheerful and obliging. It's an ideal place from which to tour this part of the Highlands. more

stayed 3 nights on a bus tour toilet seat in bathroom was lying on floor every single night promised it would be sorted but never was would not take a dog to this hovel! more

Have been to this hotel on numerous occasions and have always found it welcoming, the staff are friendly and the food is excellent. Rooms are comfortable and the hotel has a friendly atmosphere. Will certainly return again this year. more

great hotel, good food, excellent staff, entertainment excellent, great bedrooms, very clean. Near to shops, postoffice, cash machines, local buses, trains. Greedy guests took all the breakfast food, came back for seconds, left nothing for later sittings. Chef catered for 100, on;y 79 at hotel! Room too hot bur that is not a fault if you like a warm room.... more
