We spent the weekend at this hotel and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We arrived on a bitterly cold evening and the first thing we encountered as we entered the hotel was a roaring log fire which immediately lifted the spirits. The hotel was warm, comfortable, and clean, the breakfast was hearty, and the staff were helpful, attentive, and friendly. I'd... More

We took 2 old aunts for a three day break in Fife. The Kingswood staff especially the proprieters could not have been more welcoming and obliging. The rooms were exceptionally clean and comfortable. The evening dinner menu was varied and superbly cooked. The views across the Forth from the balcony changed with the tides and the weather giving different aspects... More

I stayed here for two nights in August whilst on business in the area. The hotel had been found by my corporate travel agent as or usual hotel was fully booked with the Edinburgh festival being on. I had a double room for single occupancy at £75 per night B&B which was reasonable comparable with other hotels in the area... More

The decor in the bedroom was dated with dark peachy walls and faded silk roses in a jardinere and bowl.I had to sleep on top of the duvet because I could feel the springs through the mattress. The bedding was old green sheets and pillow cases that were faded.Definitely would not sleep there again.Could do with the Hotel Inspector paying... More

We stayed at this hotel for one night and I wish it was longer. My wife and I had our grandson with us and had a great time. We had a meal in the hotel resturant and it wasnt cheap but was very good. The room was a family room and had plenty space and very comfy beds. It was... More

My husband and I went away for a few days to celebrate our 38th wedding anniversary. 1. The hotel was warm [no timer on the radiators]. 2. The food was good [the desserts were delicious] 3. The staff were warm, friendly and helpful [nothing was a bother]. 4. With a car the area is within reach of touristy places and... More

This hotel is situated across from the beach and wonderful views of the gardens and sea beyond were afforded from our room and diningroom. Unfortunately there was a railway line between the beach and hotel so you could not access it directly - but still nice to look at. The high tea in the diningroom was the highlight of our... More

We had two nights here and cannot complement the staff enough. Very welcoming and paying attention to detail. The bath, however, was a nightmare, no handles to grip to get out. NOT GOOD AT ALL. Food very good, housekeeping excellent. Cleanliness spot on and the room was just fab. The Chef is very good and delivers what is asked of... More
