We`ve stayed here lots of times and it`s a typical travel lodge usually clean but basic. The staff have always been very good even happy on xmas day! We always book well in advance so never pay more than £29 a night , if it`s last minute we`ve stayed at the village just two minutes away. The lodge is next... more

After reading the reviews I wasn't expecting much - was actually quite nervous. No need for it. Stayed here for 4 nights last week with my husband and 3 year old daughter. A lick of paint wouldn't go astray, but check in was smooth and friendly, bathroom was clean, we consistently got enough towels, bed linen was fine, car park... more

I stayed for 2 nights, i was really not impressed on first impression, we all thought going in would change or thinking. No, it did not the rooms seems dark and dingy, cheap curtains, cheap linen and don't even get me started on decor. the staff hmm, i didn't felt safe because there was hardly anyone around. the so called... more

What a dreadful hotel!!!!! I wouldn't book my cat in here! The hotel didnt give me a good feeling to start with when pulled up and a car had its side window smashed! We checked in and I must admit the girl that checked us in was nice. We were staying there because at a wedding and had travelled from... more

We had stayed at this hotel twice before. Both previous times the staff were just going through the motions this time they did not even bother with that ! When you could get them off the phone , speaking to friends and family, they did the basics. The hotel is about 3 years old and it looks like 10 years... more

It was a last minute decision to stay overnight in Manchester before driving home the next day. We didn't really have much time to run around Manchester looking for decent hotel so we went with the nearest place we could find (which was the Ashton-Under-Lyne Travelodge) The girl on reception barely spoke to us (or even looked at us for... more

Have just returned having spent two nights in order to visit friends. Rooms basically clean, lampshades I attended to myself! Staff do not seem at all interested in the customers, travelodge need to check this out, having come from the one in Carlisle, the difference was very noticeable. Surrounded by large retail parks, easy to find, apprwehensive regarding the carpark, so... more

Had a one night stay here as was visiting friends near to Ashton. The place seemed very new, and was very basic - what you'd expect from a travelodge really! Room was a good size, with TV and tea/coffee facilities. Bed was reeeeally comfy! The bathroom was adequate, on the small side but it was just a shower room -... more

I stayed in this hotel while in Manchester for a wedding. We got the cheap rate of £22 a night for a family room. Its newly opened - a wee bit tricky to find though maybe a few more sign posts would be good! When we arrived our room smelt a bit smokey even though we requested a non smoking... more
