Stayed here as part of an Archers Direct/Cosmos Tour, the rooms are average but the food really lets this hotel down. Few fresh ingredients, meat extremely tough and portions small (one serving had 4 chips). Our stay was for 3 nights and ended up going to the nearby supermarket for food. In addition, public toilets next to restaurant very smelly.... More

Room 404 was good size. Airconditioning and fridge were not cold. the Hotel had FREE wi-fi. Beds comfortable. We had the experience of a hotel employee walking in on us, WITHOUT knocking. Friends also experienced similar instance. Hotel managment were advised with it being explained as a "floor mixup" by the employee. This still does not explain the lack of... More

We stayed at this hotel for one night enroute to Rome. The hotel's location is excellent for accessing various roads to different parts of Tuscany. We visited San Gimangno which was only about 25 minutes drive away. The hotel itself is dated, looks like it hasn't changed much from the 70s. Our room however, was very clean, and we were... More

We stayed here for one night during our trip in Tuscany. The hotel building and the rooms are all fine - new furniture, nice bathroom and so on, but the problem here is the staff. Very unfriendly service, some speaking only Italian and to get the wifi password, you have to present your Id and pay one euro for the... More

We were very pleasantly welcomed by the well presented and friendly staff and our bags were brought to our room for us. Our room was a decent size as was the bathroom. We had quite a nice view out over the river and surrounding hills. It was clean, the décor seemed a little dated but it wasn’t too bad. The... More

This hotel is terrible and the staff is even worse! First, the room is dark and old. Luckly we had perfect weather because there is no relaxing and taking in the views from this room. The bathroom was clean which was the only thing going for this place. The hairdryer, TV, mini fridge, lights and plugs did not work. In... More

Stayed here for four nights in August on a Cosmos tour. Because of a technical problem, there was no guest internet available for the entire period. When we arrived, the manager apologised and to emphasise how seriously he took this, waved a note saying he had been trying to get it fixed for a month! "It might be fixed tomorrow".... More

I stayed at this place with the Cosmo's "Jewels of Italy" tour. This has got to be the most disgusting hotel I've ever stayed in. I too got the "penthouse" and had to walk up another flight of stairs to the most disgustingly dirty and smelly room of all time. The carpet was filthy, the bathroom was moldy and stunk... More

This hotel was part of the hotels selected for the tour, it was clean, but service was poor and food was of low and cheap quality. We had Turkey and Spaghetti Marinara the last night I was there. More

If you wish to make a Tuscany tour, Toscana Ambassador in Poggibonsi is a very good choice for setting a headquarter. From here you can make daily trips to Firenze, Siena, San Gimignano, Monteriggioni and also in the beautiful Chianti area. No problem with parking like the big cities and a very good hotel with good facilities. More
